YouTube Playlist: First Time (or new) Shooters

These are a collection of videos that show how to NOT introduce a new shooter to the shooting sports. Some of these people may NEVER shoot again based on their experiences shown here. TRAINING, TRAINING, TRAINING!

Daughter & Desert Eagle .44 Mag

This is the type of situation that could very well have her hating shooting forever. When taking someone shooting for the first time... work your way UP the caliber scale! She probably should have spent a while shooting .22/.38/9mm/.40/.45/.357 before this. It should also be noted that when having one shoot a larger caliber for the first time, it is advised that you only load ONE round in the gun as you don't know how the new shooter will react to it.

Again, this is the type of situation that could very well have her hating shooting forever. When taking someone shooting for the first time... work your way UP the caliber scale! She probably should have spent a while shooting .22 before this. Again, her friend has to quickly take the loaded gun away from her. (Load ONE round for a new shooter!) She also has BAD grip & stance.

Kate's first time shooting a gun

Certainly not as bad as the other videos. Shooting .38 special isn't exactly a bad first caliber... but again I'd highly recommend shooting .22 for a while first and build up confidence as a shooter before giving her a .38 special to shoot. Clearly she has no confidence as a shooter based on her reaction to shooting a .38 special.

My Wife -vs- the Desert Eagle .50

Okay... so according to the description she's not a new shooter and has shot a variety of guns. That being the case her husband still needs to keep in mind that some calibers are just not suited to some people. I would have had her shoot it benched for her first time. And again... load ONE round for her first time!

Nancy vs. .454

Fast Forward to about 1:00 into the video. Sometimes a caliber is too large for a person. I believe this is the case here. She could have been SERIOUSLY injured here!

me shooting a hand gun for the first time

Bad Grip, no eye protection, no hearing protection, should have started on a .22
