A spaceship has landed in Soldier Field!
What an ugly piece of shit...
Where I get to ramble on and on incoherently.
What an ugly piece of shit...

The St. Petersburg city council passed a law Monday designed to scuttle a rock group's plans to feature an onstage suicide. Full Article Here.
It's not called Photoshop 8, the new line of Adobe pro software is called "CS" for "Creative Suite". It has an improved file browser, text on a path, special effects filters, non-square pixel support, built in RAW support for the Canon 10D + others, & much more! Adobe's site is really bogged down right now but be sure to check it out. It's nice that a new version comes out BEFORE I buy it rather than shortly AFTER.
The trailer is online!

Loved it! It's going to be very interesting to see where they go with the '2 years missing' storyline. I don't care if Sloane became a saint... I do NOT trust him!
Russian Dude: "Sydney, if you want to stop that car, you will need. . . errrr. . . backup."
Sydney: "No I won't. But I WILL need clothes."
CLASSIC!
The trailer for Return of the King will be available on http://www.lordoftherings.net/ tomorrow. You can also see it on the big screen if you plan to see New Line's "Secondhand Lions". I for one, am greatly looking forward to catching the first glimpse of this final chapter in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy.
Most of you are already aware of my 'school project' site http://www.mydvdlist.com/ While I still have to add some field data, title-wise it's up to date.
We'll be there in about 2 1/2 weeks.
Yes, I took this picture. Like it?

...It's time for the kids swimming lessons. Here's a bit of advice for everyone. Don't get the kids in their swimsuits ready to go, drive all the way over there to find out that there are no lessons today due to a swim meet and it's clearly written in the lesson schedule. D'oh!
"...the U.S. price of GameCube is being cut to $99 from $149, as widely expected by game publishers and financial analysts, effective from Thursday, as Nintendo seeks momentum for the flagging product ahead of the crucial holiday season. "

Those that had "Enterprise" Season Passes in their TiVo's, were in for a surprise Wednesday night when they realized that their TiVo didn't record the show. Apparently the show is now listed as "Star Trek: Enterprise" so there were no upcoming episodes for "Enterprise". If you plan to continue watching this show change your season passes asap.
I've spent the last 3 days working with iView Media Pro 2. We're talking 10+ hours per day. One of the very few benefits of being unemployed.
The result is... I've FINALLY found a great program to manage my 11,000+ digital pics. For those new to digital photography, I suggest picking a photo managing program as early as possible so you won't have to endure categorizing, peopleizing, keywording and sorting thousands and thousands of photos just to get up to date!
The pro version is $160 so I'm glad my trial version doesn't end till Nov 1st. (after the disney vacation)
I'm on iView overload right now so more on this later...
From CNN...

Different strokes for different folks I guess

The Digital Bits is reporting that Fox is listing a street date of 7/6/04! Okay... perhaps the Star Trek DVDs have spoiled me. I mean who can argue with 7 years of TV released in one year? (though I can complain about the price... that's another conversation) But why so late? I admit I'm impatient because I got into watching when the first season was released on DVD and to watch it in order I rely on the DVD release schedule. I just don't like waiting 6+ months for another season release. Oh yeah... and for those of you who will say "Get the region 2" version... I say screw that.
Don't forget that season 5 is due out December 9.
"Segway LLC has recalled all 6,000 of its human transporters sold from March 2002 to now because of a falling hazard, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced Friday."
I wonder if this has anything to do with the President falling off of one a few months ago.

Let me take you back about 11 or so months to November 2002. One day while I was at work, our Payroll Specialist Debbie asked me why I didn't have pictures of my kids on my desk. I explained to her that since my desk space was limited (I didn't have a hutch like she had) that I only had room for one frame. I knew which frame I wanted and where to buy it. Later in November we went to the Museum of Science and Industry and I bought the frame. Here's a pic...There's a larger version available here
Anyway... now that I had the frame, I wanted a very specific picture in it. I wanted a picture of the kids right in front of that same museum. Kinda geeky yes, but hey, we're museum members so tough shit lol
We visited that museum a handful of times but I couldn't take the pic I wanted. Snow, rain, only one kid with me at the time, all were a factor. I FINALLY got the pic I wanted when we went there on Nicholas's 6th birthday. I of course don't own any film cameras so I had it printed by Club Photo and waited till it came in the mail. Well it arrived by mail yesterday! So the question... How long does it take to put a picture in a frame anyway? The answer is 10 months!
Here's the picture I used...
All I can say is.... WOW! If you're not watching this show... you are REALLY missing out!
I guess John Goodman CAN to drama!
So I'm checking my AOL inbox (which I do less and less now days) and I notice an e-mail from AOL news titled "Ben Affleck Buys Truck in Ga."
Is this what it has come down to... reporting a bad actor bought a truck? What the fuck?!?!?
Why did I get this e-mail? Well... I just HAD to find out, so I opened the e-mail, resisted the strong urge to puke and read it. It seems Mr. Affleck applied for a gun permit in GA so he could do some hunting. Since I have AOL News set to e-mail me every piece of news with the keyword "gun" I suppose I deserve this.
So they can communicate any time of day or night. They're using iChat AV & iSight. i guess Dr. Phil cares enough to send the very best. Pretty cool.
